The Showcat is a modified Grumman Ag Cat biplane flown by Gene Soucy in the style of the old Hollywood barnstormers. The Showcat features clipped wings for improved roll rate performance, a five-point smoke system, and inverted fuel and oil system in its 450hp Pratt & Whitney engine. With special wiring for pyrotechnics, it also performs the nighttime "Fireflight," a dazzling display of airborne fireworks mounted on the wings and tail. |
